I've always loved gold jewelry. When I was a student, my budget pushed me towards fast fashion, before I started investing in beautiful vermeil pieces, found in stylish boutiques in Paris or in my region. The problem was that even with a real budget, disappointment always returned: after a year, my favorite pieces would turn black, dull… ugly. And let's be honest, the idea of having to pay for re-gilding every year, having to take them off for a shower, for applying cream, perfume, or simply for going to the beach ended up discouraging me. I wanted jewelry that lived with me, not pieces that discolored and ended up at the bottom of a drawer (or worse, in the trash).
When I was 18, I received my first 18-carat gold chain. It's my essential piece, I love it dearly, and it never leaves me. But I also quickly realized that I couldn't afford an entire collection in 18k… mamma mia, the price. So I was looking for an alternative: something real, solid, that I could wear non-stop, combine endlessly, without it costing a fortune. After tons of research, I discovered 9-carat gold through a brand in the United States. I ordered three small rings, and then, the click was immediate. I was won over. But between customs fees and the lack of choice in Europe, it was clearly an uphill battle.
At the end of my studies, after an internship in jewelry, everything became clear. I told myself: "What if I created this missing balance of quality/price?" Jewelry that I truly like, easy to wear, discreet, timeless, but always with that little extra style.
